Marquis Tristan des Larmes

Although not titularly the ruler of Mont Guignol (that would be Duke Robin Fleuerblanche, who has shown little propensity for leadership), the dramatically dressed and bepowpered Marquis is the de facto authority. His court is a motley collection of grotesquerie and glamour that speaks, above all, to his fervor for Égalité. Any rumors that he is not actually a Fairy are inflammatory and fallacious.  

Chapter III: Received Octavio as an envoy from Caliph Laio, then grilled Sylvie on her parents' connection to the Tri-Starred. Later declared Octavio's verbal dismembering of Gunther Lichtmann to be "the most delightful thing to have happened this week."
